| Chicken Chop |
Chicken Chop/Croquette is one of the famous evening snacks of West Bengal India. It's one of the famous street food in Kolkata other parts of West Bengal
Preparation Time: 20 mins
Cooking Time: 5 to 7 mins
Serves: 5 to 7 Person
INGREDIENTS:
150 gms chicken (boneless finely chopped)
100 gms potato (boiled and mashed)
1 medium size onion (finely chopped)
2 tsp oil
½ tsp ginger garlic paste
1 chilli, finely chopped
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp coriander powder
¼ tsp garam masala
6-7 peanuts, roasted
2 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
oil for deep frying
FOR COATING:
3 tbsp maida / plain flour
3 tbsp corn flour
¼ tsp salt
½ cup water
1 cup breadcrumbs
METHOD:
In a large kadai heat 2 tsp oil and add chopped onions
Saute ½ tsp ginger garlic paste and chopped chilli.
Put Chicken and fry for few minutes
Add coriander,cumin powder and stir
Add mashed vegetables potato and cook for few minutes.
Cook until the mixture loses its moisture and separates pan.
Add salt and garam masala
Mix well until spices are cooked well.
Add chopped coriander leaves.
Remove the mixture from pan let it cool.
Mix well, prepare cylindrical shape of the chicken chop mixture.
Dip in maida paste coating all over, then roll in breadcrumbs.
Deep fry in hot oil for 7-8 minutes or till the coating is golden brown.
Serve chicken chop with tomato sauce or green coriander chilly chutney.
